So it is in the specialised school N°6 in Lodz, the same one in which I had done my first workshop with visually impaired people in 2006, that I met today the 9 participants for the Polish part of the project.
I went with my friend Alexandre Dayet, a Frenchman living in Poland for almost 30 years. For the duration of the project, he will be my interpreter and his foundation Fundacja Kamera will support the project with partners.
The first names of the participants are : Linda, Kornelia, Julia, Ola, Hanna, Agnelka, David, Igor and Adam.
Four of them are completely blind.
It was also an opportunity for us to meet Jurek, a teacher in the school, whom we had already met in 2006.
The meeting and the welcome were done in an excellent atmosphere.
The director of the school, Mrs Anna Tomaszewska, is ready to help us and give us advice and ideas for the creation of the Braille pages of the future catalogue.
Because of the distance, Alexandre will lead some sessions with the participants but without me. I will come back to Lodz 3 or 4 times until the first opening of the joint exhibition of the workshops here, in Strasbourg and in Stuttgart.
It will take place on the occasion of the famous Fotofestiwal, on 9 June 2022. Make a note of the date, Polish friends!

Donc c’est dans l’école spécialisée N°6 de Lodz, la même dans laquelle j’avais fait mon apremier atelier avec des déficients visuels en 2006, que j’ai rencontré aujourd’hui les 9 participants pour la partie polonaise du projet.

À cause de la distance, Alexandre dirigera quelques sessions avec les jeunes mais sans moi. Je reviendrai 3 ou 4 fois à Lodz jusqu’au premier vernissage de l’exposition commune aux ateliers à ici, à Strasbourg et à Stuttgart.
