I promised my friend, Mayra Suleeva, that I would come back to Almaty, even though no one was sending me there this year.
I must say that I had made excellent portraits of the children of the Kenes Centre in 2001. Last year, as you know, I led a photo workshop for some children with Down Syndrome at her centre.
So I took the opportunity to make portraits of a few of them.
It is always a great pleasure and emotion to meet them again, not only the children but also the pedagogues, who do a remarkable job all year round. Thank you to all of you.

Il faut dire que j’avais fait d’excellents portraits des enfants du Centre Kenes en 2001.
L’année dernière, comme vous le savez, j’ai dirigé un atelier pour les enfants atteints de Down Syndrome de son centre. J’en ai donc profité pour faire le portraits de quelques-uns.
C’est toujours un immense plaisir et une belle émotion de les retrouver, eux les enfants mais aussi les pédagogues, qui toute l’année font un travail remarquable. Merci à vous tous.
